We stayed in Midwood Lodge for our family holiday and had a wonderful time. The Lodge is fully equipped with everything we could possibly need and beyond our expectation. Christine also added a lot of kind, heart warming details that made it feel very special. Our kids had an amazing time in the garden and really enjoyed the tree house. There is so much for the kids to do and all sorts of sport equipment to use. Alnmouth is a beautiful town that has a lot to offer. The beach is easily accessible and passing by Scott's deli, one simply must stop for a cup of a delicious coffee. We had fish and chips from the Hope and Anchor and that was a hit, too. We had such an amazing time that not even a week after being back, we booked next year.

Such a special place. Great to get away from the hustle and bustle of life in the city to the lodge - so beautiful and peaceful. We were welcomed a package of goodies which were left for us - so thoughtful of the hosts who have clearly put so much work into making the lodge a real haven for people to escape to. It was an absolute pleasure to be one of the beneficiaries! Nearby activities: So close to the beach and local cafes, gallery and a beautiful friary Walkability: Walking distance to the beach!

Good place to stay if you are a family with children but not suitable all adults because of sleeping arrangements

Midwood Cottage was perfect for our stay. The property was well equipped, very clean, very nicely furnished & in a quiet location. Having a lovely garden to sit out in and a parking space was great - both rare for holiday lets in Alnmouth. The host Christine was excellent with communications & provided lots of helpful information about places to visit, eat etc. There were lovely additional personal touches on arrival & a thoughtful welcome tray which was much appreciated & made us feel welcome! I can't praise the host or recommend the property highly enough. Nearby activities: Fabulous location for visiting tourist attractions in Alnwick, Bamburgh, Warkworth & Alnmouth with it's wonderful beach & walks.

Absolutely spotless, comfortable and well stocked. So central to village but quiet. Would definitely come again.

A return visit after several years. Cottage is perfect, spotless and welcoming. So pleased to be back here. Alnmouth is a very special place and a favourite ❤. Cottage has everything you could need for an enjoyable holiday. We will be back, soon.

As previously mentioned lots of nice goodies to greet us on our arrival. Place very clean and well furnished and it had everything you need regarding utensils for whether cooking or getting prepared food in to heat in oven. Perfect location for touring Northumberland coast. 5 min walk to surprisingly self sufficient little village. Coast at end of high street with fabulous views across estuary. We'll b back and have recommended to friends.

Home from home, everything you need and more, just the little touches which makes the difference, from the cake to the sparkling wine and birthday/anniversary card. Will be booking again for next year.

Fabulous stay, very friendly, home made cake on arrival. Nothing too much trouble for the owners and lovely cottage , very clean and new fittings abound. Will return.

Booked for a week in September , great place and well stocked will everything a family needs. Nice bottle of wine and treats on arrival. Will be returning.
